Marigold ‘Dainty Marietta’ / A dwarf variety of ‘Naughty Marietta’
(Tagetes patula) – 50 Seeds
‘Dainty Marietta’ (also known as Dwarf ‘Naughty Marietta’) marigolds produce bright yellow flowers with bold red markings near the center of each petal, and some seedlings may have a larger red spot depending on your proximity to the equator. The blooms are single, open-faced, and about 2 inches across, giving them a simple, classic look. Plants are compact and bushy, growing about 10–12 inches tall and blooming steadily through the season.
These marigolds are easy to grow, heat-tolerant, and attract pollinators while also helping to deter some garden pests.
Growing Notes:
Sow directly outdoors after danger of frost has passed or start indoors 4–6 weeks early.
Cover seeds lightly with soil and keep moist until germination.
Prefers full sun and well-draining soil.
Water regularly but allow soil to dry slightly between watering.
Deadhead to encourage continuous blooming.
Annual; blooms from summer through frost.
In the Garden:
‘Dainty Marietta’ marigolds are ideal for borders, containers, vegetable gardens, and mass plantings. Their bright yellow and red blooms add strong color and pair well with other summer flowers. Compact growth makes them a good choice for edging and small spaces.
