Zinnia "Zinderella Peach"
Zinnia elegans
Seeds per Package: 15
Zinnia elegans ‘Zinderella Peach’ (Zinderella Peach zinnia) is an annual ornamental native to Mexico, selected for its compact habit and abundance of soft peach‑to‑apricot, semi‑double to double blooms that offer long‑season color in beds, borders, and containers. Plant in full sun for the best, longest bloom and strong stem development; it prefers well‑drained soil from average loam to sandy mixes and tolerates moderate fertility—avoid waterlogged sites and excess nitrogen, which can produce lanky growth.
Seeds germinate readily with warmth and light: surface‑sow or cover very lightly and keep evenly moist. Start indoors 3–4 weeks before the last frost for earlier blooms or direct‑sow after danger of frost when soil has warmed; expect germination in about 7–14 days. No cold stratification is needed.
‘Zinderella Peach’ typically grows compactly to about 8–18 inches (20–45 cm) tall with a similar spread—space plants roughly 8–12 inches apart for good airflow and a full display. As an annual it completes its life cycle in one season.
This zinnia is excellent for fresh cutting—sturdy stems and long bloom time make it a favorite for bouquets—and it also presses and dries well for crafts and dried arrangements. It attracts bees, butterflies, and other pollinators, making it a useful and decorative choice for pollinator‑friendly gardens.
