Achillea sibirica var. camtschatica ‘Love Parade’
Seeds per package: 100

Achillea sibirica ‘Love Parade’ (Siberian yarrow) is a hardy, clump‑forming herbaceous perennial native to northern Asia (Siberia and adjacent regions), valued for its flat-topped clusters of long‑lasting blooms and fine, ferny foliage. It blooms from late spring into summer and returns each year from short crowns and fibrous roots.

Plant in full sun for best flowering; it will tolerate light afternoon shade. Grow in very well‑drained, sandy or gravelly soil with low to average fertility and a slightly acidic to neutral pH (about 5.5–6.8). Excellent drainage is essential—rich, moist soils encourage weak, floppy growth and fewer flowers. A light application of compost or a balanced slow‑release fertilizer in early spring is sufficient.

Seeds require light to germinate, so surface‑sow or press lightly into a fine, moist seed mix. Start indoors 8–10 weeks before the last frost for earlier bloom or direct‑sow after danger of frost; seeds typically sprout in 10–14 days. Cold stratification for 2–4 weeks can improve germination but is not strictly necessary.

‘Love Parade’ reaches about 12–18 inches (30–45 cm) tall with a spread of 18–24 inches (45–60 cm); space plants 18–24 inches apart to allow airflow and room to fill. Hardy roughly in USDA zones 3–8, it’s excellent as a cut flower and dries and presses exceptionally well for dried arrangements and crafts. It also attracts beneficial insects (ladybugs, hoverflies, parasitic wasps) and makes a valuable companion plant in herb and vegetable gardens.
