Cosmos ‘Double Dutch Rose’ Seeds
(Cosmos bipinnatus) – 30-35 Seeds
Cosmos ‘Double Dutch Rose’ produces beautiful double and semi-double flowers in rich rose-pink shades. The layered petals give the blooms a fuller, ruffled appearance compared to traditional cosmos while still keeping their light and airy look. Plants grow about 3–4 feet tall with delicate, fern-like foliage and long stems perfect for cutting.
This easy-to-grow annual blooms heavily from summer into fall and attracts bees, butterflies, and other pollinators.
Growing Notes:
Direct sow outdoors after danger of frost has passed or start indoors 4–6 weeks early.
Cover seeds lightly with soil and keep moist until germination.
Prefers full sun and well-draining soil.
Avoid overly rich soil, which can encourage foliage growth over flowers.
Deadhead or cut flowers regularly to encourage more blooms.
Annual; blooms summer through frost.
In the Garden:
‘Double Dutch Rose’ cosmos adds height, movement, and soft color to flower beds, cottage gardens, and cutting gardens. The full rose-colored blooms pair beautifully with whites, purples, and other pastel flowers, creating a long-lasting summer display. Its tall stems and abundant flowers make it a favorite for fresh bouquets.
