Pelleted Seeds!! Pelleted seeds are naturally small, difficult-to-handle seeds coated in an inert, inert clay or organic material to make them round, larger, and uniform in size and shape, which facilitates mechanical and hand sowing by providing accurate, even spacing and reducing waste and jamming in planting equipment. This process improves sowing efficiency, helps with visibility, and can even incorporate nutrients or growth stimulants into the coating.

Petunia hybrida ‘Superbissima Rosea’ (Petunia Superbissima Rosea) is a tender perennial typically grown as an annual, prized for its vigorous, mounding habit and abundant rose‑pink, funnel‑shaped blooms that provide continuous color from late spring through fall. Developed from South American Petunia species, grandiflora/thunbergia‑type hybrids like ‘Superbissima’ are favorites for beds, borders, containers, and hanging displays where bold, nonstop flowering is desired.

Plant in full sun for the most prolific flowering and compact habit; in hot climates some afternoon shade helps prolong bloom. It prefers fertile, well‑drained garden soil or potting mix amended with compost and benefits from consistent moisture—avoid waterlogged conditions. Regular, balanced feeding (every 2–4 weeks) encourages steady bloom without promoting overly lush, floppy growth.

Seeds are very small and require light for best germination: surface‑sow on a fine, moist seed mix and do not cover. Start indoors 8–10 weeks before the last frost at warm temperatures (around 70–75°F / 21–24°C); expect germination in 7–14 days. Harden off seedlings before transplanting outdoors after all danger of frost. Many growers also use plugs or liners to ensure uniform performance and true cultivar traits.

Plants typically reach about 8–14 inches (20–35 cm) tall with a 12–18 inch (30–45 cm) spread depending on fertility and pruning—space 10–18 inches apart for beds or 8–12 inches in containers for a full display. As a tender perennial in frost‑free areas it can persist year to year; otherwise it’s treated as an annual.

‘Superbissima Rosea’ is excellent for bedding, mixed containers, and hanging baskets; the blooms are best enjoyed fresh (short vase life) and are less suitable for drying or pressing. Petunias attract hummingbirds and some pollinators, and regular deadheading or light shearings will maintain vigorous, continuous flowering.
