Turkish Delight Sedum —Sedum ussuriense
20 Seeds Pelleted
Also known as stonecrop. 8"; Deep burgundy-black foliage with carmine-red flower umbels. Excellent
in containers, pots and borders. Pollinator Magnet!
Sow seeds indoors 6–8 weeks before last frost or sow outdoors in spring after danger of hard frost; seeds are very fine, so press them lightly onto the surface of a fine, well‑draining seed mix and do not cover (or cover very thinly). Keep medium warm (65–70°F / 18–21°C) and slightly moist; germination usually occurs in 7–21 days. Thin or transplant seedlings carefully once they have a few true leaves.
Grow in full sun for best color and flower production; tolerates light afternoon shade in hot climates. Prefers well‑drained, sandy or rocky soil and performs well in low‑fertility sites—avoid heavy, waterlogged soils. Water sparingly once established; sedums are drought tolerant and do best with infrequent deep watering, allowing the soil to dry between waterings. Space plants 6–12" (15–30 cm) apart depending on habit; mature height typically 2–6" (5–15 cm) with a spread of 6–18" (15–45 cm) for groundcover varieties. Trim back after flowering to maintain shape and encourage fresh growth.
