Queen Lime with Blush Zinnia Seeds – 40 Seeds
Zinnia elegans ‘Queeny Lime with Blush’ (Queeny Lime with Blush zinnia) is an annual ornamental prized for its compact, floriferous habit and unique lime‑green centers flushed with soft blush‑pink edges. Bred from Mexican zinnia stock, this cultivar combines striking color contrast with reliable, long‑season performance in beds, borders, containers, and cutting gardens.
Grow ‘Queeny Lime with Blush’ in full sun for best flowering, color intensity, and stem strength; it will tolerate light afternoon shade but blooms most prolifically in sun. It prefers well‑drained soil from average loam to sandy mixes and does well with moderate fertility—avoid waterlogged sites and excessive nitrogen, which can produce leggy growth. A light application of compost at planting and occasional balanced feeding supports continuous bloom.
Seeds germinate readily with warmth and light. Start indoors 3–4 weeks before the last frost for earlier blooms or direct‑sow after danger of frost when soil has warmed. Sow on the surface or cover very lightly and keep the medium evenly moist; germination typically occurs in 7–14 days. No cold stratification is required. Harden off seedlings before transplanting and thin to avoid crowding.
Plants typically grow compactly to about 8–18 inches (20–45 cm) tall with a similar spread—space plants roughly 8–12 inches (20–30 cm) apart to allow good airflow and a full display. As an annual, it blooms from midsummer until frost with regular deadheading.
‘Queeny Lime with Blush’ is excellent for fresh cutting—its distinctive, long‑lasting blooms add contemporary color to bouquets—and its flowers also press and dry reasonably well for crafts. It attracts bees and butterflies, making it a decorative and pollinator‑friendly choice for mixed plantings.
