Procut White Nite Sunflower Seeds — 25 Seeds per Packet

Helianthus annuus ‘ProCut White Nite’ (ProCut White Nite sunflower) is an annual sunflower cultivar bred for the cut‑flower trade, valued for its large, white to cream single blooms on long, straight stems and strong, uniform habit. As with other sunflowers, the species is native to North America and this variety is ideal for production beds, cut‑flower plots, and bold border plantings.

Plant in full sun for the best stem strength and flower production. It prefers fertile, well‑drained garden soil amended with compost and benefits from consistent moisture during establishment and bud development; avoid waterlogged conditions. A balanced fertilizer at planting and again at bud set supports large heads and sturdy stems, while avoiding excess nitrogen that would promote floppy growth.

Seeds can be direct‑sown outdoors after the danger of frost when soil has warmed, or started indoors 2–4 weeks before the last frost to gain a head start. Sow about 1/2–1 inch (1–2 cm) deep and keep the soil evenly moist; seeds typically germinate in 7–10 days at warm temperatures. No cold stratification is required. Thin seedlings or transplant carefully to avoid root disturbance and provide staking if needed for taller plantings.

Mature plants commonly reach 3–6 feet (90–180 cm) tall with a spread of 12–24 inches (30–60 cm); space plants 12–24 inches apart depending on desired density and whether staking is used. As an annual it completes its life cycle in one season.

‘ProCut White Nite’ is prized as a premium cut flower for long, straight stems and excellent vase life; it also dries well for dried arrangements and attracts pollinators while in bloom.
